Stinger Ray`s Bar & Grill in Maui

Stinger Ray's Kahalui Pork Nachos--my go-to every time. Not fast food, but still has timely, attentive service.

Thought we"d grab a burger to go and wait at our terminal for our flight. Stopped at Stinger rays to order to go. Saw a menu on a table so I sat down to look at it. Was told by the waitress that I could not sit there if I was ordering to go and she grabbed the menu from me and told me I had to see another waitress. I again ask for a menu and was pointed to a cardboard sign on the terminal floor. I explained that that was not a menu just pictures of sandwiches . I was still denied a menu. I ordered a sandwich for my wife payed for it and was told I could not stand in the place to await my order. I was to stand across the terminal floor at seating for a gate and she would bring it to me. When my order was ready she stood at the edge of the floor of the restaurant with the bag to hand it to me. I never was aloud to look at a menu for myself and was made to feel like I was not wanted there. I couldn't even wait for my order in the place I ordered the food ??

Thursday November 1st 9:20am blond older lady with short hair was incredibly rude when asked what time you guys open. She needs to find her Aloha again if she's gonna work around the general public - ESPECIALLY with lost tourists..

The best place to eat at the airport!

The server was personable and friendly. Very Attentive. The food....not so much. I ordered the Grilled chicken with brie and fries. The chicken tasted funny. IDK what the spice mic was but it was unpleasant. The best thing I ate was the fries. Don't waste your time and/or money. Wish I picked up a sandwich from somewhere else.

Stopped in to get a single beer before my flight. I was polite a d friendly with the staff. After twelve minutes I finally recieved drink.

Stopped in before our flight planned on getting an appetizer and beer but couldn’t get service even though saw three waiters and only had about 1/4 of tables occupied. Left after 10 minutes. Terrible!

Typical airport pub type place. One odd thing was that the menu did not have any pricing on it, so if you are feeling pretty adventurous just order away, and wait to be surprised!

Many years ago we ate at the Stinger Ray's at the Honolulu airport before we flew out and had a good experience. So we thought we'd do the same while waiting for our flight leaving Maui. This was not a great experience. The food was a level below other airport food I've experienced but the worst part was the drinks. We wanted to have a couple island cocktails before departing, they ended up being the worst drinks we had the entire trip. Tried different cocktails in case the bartender was just bad at mai tai's...nope anything we ordered was terrible. I would avoid this one next time .

Great place, wonderful service, poke bowl was spicy and great, sliders, the burger. Not sure why it was rated so bad. The cocktails were huge.

It is okay. There are some brews on tap, coke products for beverages, they also sell bottles of drinks for your trip. The food is okay, pretty basic. If you have a wait till departure, it makes a fine little stop (across from gate 23).

Was served by some old broad with grey hair in a bun. Literally said she was "too busy" to offer a suggestion on 2 menu items my wife had asked about. And too busy to tell me how much a pint of beer costs as "they are all different prices". I mean it's Hawaii! Just be happy you get to live here. Don't give other people your dang problems while you're on the job.

Looks good, but that's all. Food suck, service very slow. Took very long for food to arrive, almost 10 minutes between first and last. Had to wait for long time until table would be wiped off and ready. Just another corporate restaurant where no body cares.

Don’t order the nachos or wings!!

Prices are definitely Hawaiian, otherwise, awesome.

Staff was very friendly and attentive not to mention fun and funny a breath of fresh air in an otherwise dull day. Decor is open and modern and the best part...the food I was reccomend the Hawaiian cowboy, pleasantly shocked it was really good cooked to medium perfection thick and juicy I would say the best burger I have had in a while.

Menu: has no major variety not a place for vegetarians. Water is warm...not cold. Decor: is acceptable for airport setting. Service: is okay.

So our flight was boarding at 11:15 and we wanted a quiet glass of wine at 10:30pm. All employees were there but they were closed even though their hours were clearly marked as 11 to 11. Very disappointing. Also very rude when we asked why they weren’t open when the hours stated otherwise.

Excellent service and some of the best food we had on Maui! I had the Brie Chicken sandwich and it was delicious!! Highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for food at Kahalui airport.

Extremely disappointed. Bartender would not serve me drinks since I was sitting at a table,said that there are servers that will take your order. No servers in sight. Also you can see and hear the employees gossiping and stirring up drama just around the corner. Took 30min to get my check. Gas station nachos are better than the ones here. Dont bother going here,walk the few extra steps to go to the food court. 0 out of 5 stars.

Stopped by for a quick preflight drink as my anxiety of flying kicked in a full 2 Hours before flight. Staff was definitely overrun by travelers, but I was greeted not once, but four (4) times by staff asking to assist me. I saddled into a stool. Bartender was quick to address me, and informed me of choices of food & drink. After 2 beers I paid my tab, but before departing Kyle; the head bar staff employee, sent me off with local “good will” salutations. Best spot in OGG by far.

If they took better care of their customers and quit trying up sale everything it would be helpful. Super slow service and when you ask bartender for something because your waitress is mia, he states he is busy, ask your waitress ...someone needs to learn to manage this place .

Not sure why they post that they close at 11pm, when they seem to close at any moment. At 9:45 the restaurant had 20 paying customers looking for late night dinner before a long flight and they closed without serving any of us. Pretty unfortunate.

I was very cautious about eating here due to the horrific ratings here on google maps... but, mom was hungry so here we go. The service was spot on (very mindful of my gluten free choice) and during a busy time. The food was great. My Cesar salad was fresh and tasty - I ate it all.

Decided to stop in while waiting for our outbound flight to go home. I had the Aloha Burger and a few House Draught beers. I can't remember what my wife ate. I am surprised to read the bad reviews of this place after the fact, because we had a great experience. We were seated and waited on immediately. Our waiter was a super cool guy, and helped us with some suggestions. He also stayed on top of refilling our drinks. The food came out quickly and was delicious. Left a nice well deserved tip, and we were on or way. Would definitely try again. Mahalo. Aloha 🤙🏽

I try to go for the healthier choice so I chose here vs Burger King. My sons chicken bites were fake chicken. My $17 grilled chicken was about 3oz. Luckily they did bring me another patty for only $3.50. Food tasted okay, nothing spectacular but the cost vs quality and quantity not so great. The draft beer cost is not bad for the area and is the only reason I 2 stars vs 1.

Been coming to Maui for 25 years and always have a mai tia at stingrays! It’s the best on the island!

Didn't care for the food and service wasn't the best

Slow service, 3 servers looked at us and someone talked to us after 5-10 minutes. Rude. Got our food super fast, then very slow to get our bill. We had to go pay at the bar, because we needed to catch a flight. Bring the bill with food, it is an airport, people are in a hurry sometimes.

It's your typical airport bar, so it's obviously expensive for what you get. However, I'm leaving a 5-star review for our wonderful server! Although I can't remember her name, she was so friendly and served us our drinks quickly and professionally.

I ordered a fish n chips at Stinger Rays. It was a nice place to grab a bite before getting on my flight. The Alaskan Polluck was great although I was dissappointed that they didn't offer more fries. The best part was the perfectly chilled beer!

Every bar should have a personality like this one does.

Had hours to wait for my flight. Chose to eat here and had a chance to see the staff in action over a long period...a very well run place! All of the staff were continuously in motion and very friendly. Saw the manager step out to help with any overload ...she has a great attitude that rolls over to her staff! My waitress had no problem modifying my kalua pork slider order. Mahalo!

I came into this establishment it seems like a nice place. But I was greeted by Wendy who looked as if I was bothering her. I simply asked, "Where do I go just to get a to go order?" She replied, "ummm as you can see we are busy right now ...... so you'll just have to wait." She seemed agitated by me even asking her a question. This is a cardinal sin in the food services industry. Absolutely unacceptable behavior. I walked back to, "Sammy's Bar & Grill" were a wonderful waitress made everything right. Please choose Sammy's over this establishment. I was on vacation from Chicago so luckily I never have to go here again. I reported to the manager Tony. He was nice and apologized for her. But it's too late first impressions are everything. Stay away from this place. No pride of service usually means horrible food. *** Wendy you are a horrible waitress. I hope you find a new job and get happy******

Not bad for an airport bar. A little crowded but wait staff was on top of things. The nachos were good but real cheese would have been better than Velveeta cheese. Fun to people-watch.

Decent food. Tasted better than it looked. This was the grilled chicken and brie. Service was very good and efficient. Decent wines by the glass.

Good drinks, would buy again

I just wanted to buy a pre made sandwich and water for my flight. I couldn't find anyone to take my money and the place was not very busy. Tuesday April 25 1045 AM. Waitress/hostess sent me to bartender. Bartender sent me back to hostess. I told hostess about this runaround and she just referred me back. A young lady was also treated this way. I left what I wanted to purchase on the bar and stated out loud, "I guess you don't want my business", again no response. The other wannabe customer and I walked out. The employees didn't seem to care.

We had a nice complimentary Maitai while waiting to go to our luau.

Food and service was good. I had a meal and couple drinks, tipped just under 20%. I then decided to have one more drink before my flight, drink was 10.95. Since I already tipped I just added a dollar to it 11.95. My charge on my card was 17.95. Changing a 1 to a 7 is ridiculous.... and illegal. Will be reporting.

This place gose from 4 ppl to 30 ppl in about as fast 1/4 mile run... Good food & drink options + charge plugs under the bar seating only. But after reading through comments Wendy (1 of the Waiters) gets an a chip on her shoulder and shows it. Ugg
